  • Breakform Design's largest architecture project nears completion.

    Construction Update

    Located in Mar Vista and topping out at six stories, the 15-unit Mitchell Apartments benefitted from a state density bonus that allowed the owner building to add six extra units while providing two low income units. The building features 19,000+ square feet of housing on five levels and 14 ground-floor parking spaces.

  • Metalwork elevates Toteme's new Melrose Avenue store.

    Project Completion

    Breakform Fabrication has recently completed Toteme, a luxury fashion brand retail store on Melrose Avenue, showcasing their expertise in metal fabrication. The store's design prominently features custom metalwork, with intricate details that elevate the space's aesthetic and reflect the brand's sophisticated image. From the sleek, polished metal fixtures to the stunning simplicity, every element demonstrates a commitment to precision and quality.

    In 'Rebel with an Architectural Cause' journalist and editor Sam Lubell writes, "Goldstein and his team of architects, builders, engineers and landscape designers have been working on the Lautner house addition since 2003, and that’s just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to Goldstein’s property, which he has been tinkering with for more than 50 years." Spaces and elements shown showcase several Breakform Design projects including custom stainless steel elements, furniture and hardware fabricated and installed by our team for over twenty years.

  • Urban Golf Performance opens in Austin as first Texas project.

    Project Completion

    Opened in 2024, UGP's Austin flagship features simulation, practice, and community spaces as well as Contrast Therapy rooms equipped with sauna and cold plunge technology to offer an unparalleled experience. Breakform Design's architecture team led UGP's exterior and interior improvements aligned with UGP's brand performance and aesthetic guidelines established through a creative client-architect collaboration. Breakform Design's collaboration with UGP initiated with the transformation of machine shop into a top of the line golf performance training facility in West Los Angeles in 2017.

  • 60% density bonus approval for affordable housing in Venice.

    New Project

    Introducing our affordable beachfront living project on the Venice Boardwalk—an architecturally crafted space that seamlessly combines affordability with a desirable living experience. With a 60% density bonus, the 16-unit apartment building creates an inclusive living environment with three units (18.75%) dedicated to affordable housing. The architecture enhances the Venice Boardwalk experience while providing residents with a thoughtfully curated and affordable coastal lifestyle.
